The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
"The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind" is a first-person open-world role-playing game and the third main installment in "The Elder Scrolls" series. The game is set on the island of Vvardenfell in the province of Morrowind. The player arrives as a freed prisoner and becomes entangled in the political and religious conflicts of the Dunmer people. The gameplay combines free exploration, real-time combat, and character customization in a vast landscape of ash fields, swamps, and volcanic terrain, with the main quest revolving around an ancient prophecy.
Story
An Imperial prisoner is released from custody and sent by ship to the island district of Vvardenfell in the province of Morrowind. Acting on orders from the Emperor himself, the newcomer is instructed to make contact with a mysterious order known as “the Blades,” which believes the prisoner may fulfill an ancient Dunmer prophecy: the return of Nerevar, a legendary warrior whose reincarnation, according to the prophecy, is destined to unite the warring factions of Morrowind and confront a growing supernatural threat emanating from the volcanic Red Mountain at the center of the island.
