Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is an action adventure game set in Japan during the Sengoku era around 1500. The player controls Wolf, a shinobi who wants to rescue his kidnapped lord and take revenge on his enemies. The game focuses on precise swordplay, sneaking and mobility and replaces the traditional RPG elements with a stance-based duel system.
Story
The game is set in Sengoku-era Japan in the late 16th century. At the end of the Sengoku era, the warlord Isshin Ashina carries out a bloody coup and conquers the land of Ashina. During this time, an unnamed orphan is adopted by the wandering shinobi Owl, who names the orphan "Wolf". Twenty years later, the Ashina clan is on the verge of collapse because Isshin, now elderly, has fallen ill and the clan's enemies are closing in from all sides. Isshin's grandson Genichiro desperately seeks a way to prevent his clan's demise and captures the divine heir Kuro, hoping to use his "dragon inheritance" to create an immortal army.
