Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

"Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice" is an action-adventure game set in a reimagined version of Japan during the Sengoku period at the end of the 16th century. You play as Wolf, a shinobi tasked with rescuing his kidnapped master and taking revenge on his enemies. The game emphasizes precise sword combat, stealth, and agility, and replaces traditional RPG elements with a duel system based on combat stances.

Story

The game is set in Sengoku-era Japan in the late 16th century. At the end of the Sengoku era, the warlord Isshin Ashina carries out a bloody coup and conquers the land of Ashina. During this time, an unnamed orphan is adopted by the wandering shinobi Owl, who names the orphan "Wolf". Twenty years later, the Ashina clan is on the verge of collapse because Isshin, now elderly, has fallen ill and the clan's enemies are closing in from all sides. Isshin's grandson Genichiro desperately seeks a way to prevent his clan's demise and captures the divine heir Kuro, hoping to use his "dragon inheritance" to create an immortal army.
