Zork
Zork is one of the earliest interactive computer games, with roots going back to the original Colossal Cave Adventure game. The first version of Zork was written in 1977-1979 using the MDL programming language on a DEC PDP-10 computer.
Story
ZORK is set in the ruins of an ancient empire that lies far below the earth. You, an intrepid treasure hunter, venture into this dangerous land in search of riches and adventure. There are many strange stories about the legendary treasures, exotic creatures and diabolical mysteries in the Great Underground Realm. As an aspiring adventurer, you will no doubt want to find the treasures and add them to your trophy case. It's best to equip yourself with a light source (because the caves are dark) and weapons (because some of the inhabitants are unfriendly - especially the thief, a skilled pickpocket and ruthless opponent). It is the year 948 GUE according to the Zork calendar. You are an adventurer, and your journey begins near a white house in a small, secluded area.
