Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim
"Ys VI: The Ark of Napishtim" is an action role-playing game in which the adventurer Adol Christin is stranded on the Canaan Islands after the Romun fleet attacks his expedition. Rescued by members of the native Rehda tribe, he explores the archipelago and investigates the threats facing its inhabitants. Combat takes place in real time and revolves around three elemental swords, each offering different attacks and magical abilities. Players explore interconnected areas, collect equipment and items, and battle both regular enemies and massive bosses.
Story
The story begins after Adol's ship is attacked by a fleet of Romulan ships. They are forced to sail into an unknown area and get caught in a big storm. While trying to rescue a fellow sailor, Adol is swept off the ship and washed ashore by the whirlpool that surrounds the Canaan Islands. He is found unconscious by the nieces of the chief of the nearby Rehda village, Olha and Isha. Olha and Isha are the daughters of his brother, who died fighting the wandering calamity with other Rehdas. The girls take him to their village and lay him to rest in the house of their uncle Ord. Adol hears them talking about him and wakes up briefly, but then falls asleep again from exhaustion. Then his adventure begins.
