Story

At the end of the Western Han Dynasty, Wang Mang, the Han regent, ascended the imperial throne and founded the Xin Dynasty. During this period, there were many auspicious signs, but also ominous phenomena such as the excavation of a stone ox and a white stone with carved writing, as well as the discovery of ancient tombs. A strange bamboo scroll was unearthed from the tomb of the Margrave of Liu and presented to the court astrologer. Unexpectedly, on the night the scroll arrived, a fire broke out and all the inhabitants of the court astrologer's house perished. The scroll also disappeared without a trace. Ten years had passed, but the prosperous era predicted by the mysterious omens did not materialize. Numerous natural disasters plagued the common people and many rose up in rebellion. At this moment, the scroll that had disappeared more than a decade ago reappeared, heralding a turbulent new era.
