Xenoblade Chronicles X

"Xenoblade Chronicles X" is an action role-playing game and part of the Xeno series; it is considered the spiritual successor to "Xenoblade Chronicles" for the Wii. Similar to the original, the game is an open-world role-playing game with a focus on exploration. Players can move around on foot or inside large humanoid robots—about four times the size of the average playable character—called “Skells” (“Dolls” in the Japanese version), which the player can control at will. The Skells can fly, cross water, and transform into vehicles such as motorcycles or tanks. The game also features aerial combat.

Story

"Xenoblade Chronicles X" begins with humanity—warned of its impending destruction in the crossfire between two hostile alien races—building interstellar arks to flee Earth. But only a few arks escape destruction, including the “White Whale.” Two years after launch, the “White Whale” is attacked and hurled toward Mira. During the crash landing, the “Lifehold”—a module housing the majority of the human colonists—detaches from the “White Whale,” and escape pods carrying colonists are scattered across Mira. Elma awakens the Avatar from a rescue capsule and brings him back to New Los Angeles. Although he suffers from amnesia, the Avatar joins BLADE and works with Elma and Lin to recover more rescue capsules and search for the Lifehold. During their missions on Mira, BLADE encounters various alien races and learns that those attacking them are part of the Ganglion Coalition—an alliance led by the Ganglion, who are bent on destroying humanity.
