XCOM 2 is the sequel to XCOM: Enemy Unknown, the award-winning strategy game of 2012. Earth has changed and is now under the rule of aliens. Faced with impossible odds, you must rebuild XCOM and ignite a global resistance to take back our world and save humanity.
Story
Twenty years have passed since the world's leaders offered unconditional surrender to the alien forces, leaving XCOM, the planet's last line of defense, decimated and scattered. Now the aliens rule the Earth, building shining cities that promise a bright future for humanity on the surface, while on the underside they hide a sinister agenda and eliminate all who disagree with their new order.Only those who live on the edges of the world have a remnant of freedom. Here, once again, a force is gathering to stand up for humanity. Always on the run, the remaining XCOM troops must find a way to rise from the ashes, reveal the insidious truth behind the occupation, and eliminate the alien threat once and for all.
