Worms combines the best elements from the best games of all time. It requires a lot of thought, strategy and elements of sheer luck. It offers players an almost infinite range of gameplay possibilities. It does take a while to get going, though, and that's despite everyone's insistence that you don't need to read a game manual to play it. Worms can be played by 1-16 players at a time - it's a turn-based game, so you only need one machine - but be prepared to be at odds with your loved ones, swearing at your best friend, and ready to show sheer terror to those who want to harm your worms. Team17 planned to develop Worms for the Virtual Boy back in 1995. However, after a few weeks this plan was scrapped due to the publisher's lack of interest and the Virtual Boy's expected failure.
