"Worms" is a turn-based strategy game that combines tactical decisions with elements of chance. Players control teams of worms and take turns using a variety of weapons and tools to defeat opposing teams, resulting in varied gameplay. As early as 1995, Team17 had planned to develop “Worms” for the Virtual Boy. After a few weeks, however, they abandoned this plan because the publisher showed no interest and the Virtual Boy was deemed a failure.
