The main feature of the game is the World Cup tournament itself, where the player can choose either the actual groups of the final round or groups consisting of a random selection of the participating teams. Each match takes place in a replica of the venue where it was played in the real tournament. As in the real tournament, the group matches do not go into extra time or penalty shootouts, but the knockout matches do.
