Wonder Boy: Monster Land

Wonder Boy: Monster Land is an action role-playing platform video game developed by Westone. It was released in 1987 by Sega for the arcades and in 1988 for the Sega Master System as a sequel to the 1986 game Wonder Boy and is set eleven years after the events of the previous game.
Story
The plot of Wonder Boy: Monster Land follows the events of its predecessor Wonder Boy. The main protagonist of the game is a boy named Bock Lee Temjin, who is called Tom-Tom by his friends. In Wonder Boy, Tom-Tom's girlfriend Tanya was kidnapped by the evil king and taken to his forest kingdom. Tom-Tom made his way to the kingdom, defeated the evil king and rescued Tanya. Word of Tom-Tom's quest spread throughout Wonderland and the people gave him the title Wonder Boy. In the meantime, the evil king was brought back to life as the MEKA dragon, who in turn raised a mighty army. The MEKA dragon also put mind-control bracelets on the various inhabitants of the land and forced them to do his bidding. He also hired the Knight Brothers (Red and Blue) to do his bidding. Tom-Tom found out about this incident and set out to kill the MEKA dragon. The game ends with Tom-Tom defeating the dragon, leading to a cliffhanger for the third game.
