Wolfenstein: The New Order

Wolfenstein: The New Order

Wolfenstein: The New Order is an action-adventure shooter played from the first-person perspective. It is the semi-sequel to 2009's Wolfenstein, but uses very little from that game and does not make direct references to Veil or the supernatural. To advance in the story, the player fights enemies in the levels. The game uses a health system where the player's health is divided into sections that regenerate. When an entire section is lost, the player must use a health pack to replenish the missing health. In combat, a cover system can be used to help against enemies. The player can lean around, over and under cover, which can be used as a tactical advantage in gunfights and stealth levels. The game offers the player a variety of weapon options - they can be found on the ground, collected from dead enemies, or removed from their stationary position and carried around.

Story

Three years after the destruction of the Black Sun Portal, the Nazis have deployed advanced technology that allows them to turn the tide against the Allies. B.J. Blazkowicz hunts down his nemesis General Wilhelm "Deathshead" Strasse, knowing that if he can kill Deathshead, the Nazi war machine will be crippled. His plans backfire, however, and Blazkowicz is mortally wounded and falls into a partial coma. After being rescued by a Polish fishing boat and taken to an asylum in Poland, where 14 years pass, he is immersed in this world of darkness ruled by the Nazis. Blazkowicz rearms himself and sets out to rekindle the flames of rebellion and overthrow the Nazi regime.
