Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger

Wing Commander III: Heart of the Tiger

Wing Commander is a space combat simulator that is accompanied by live action cutscenes. The game is about completing missions and destroying enemy spaceships. Wing Commander III doesn't award medals after such missions and relies more on cutscenes to advance the story, making much more use of CD technology. As the one giving the orders, Blair can often choose which ship he flies, which missiles it carries, and which wingmen (wingmen) he takes with him. As in Wing Commander, some wingmen can be permanently killed in combat. Blair's own callsign remains customizable

Story

The protagonist of the two previous games officially gets a name: Colonel Christopher Blair. Thrakhath nar Kiranka, Crown Prince of the hostile Kilrathi Empire, directs the execution of a group of Terran Confederation prisoners of war by disintegration. One, however, is left alive: Blair's mistress Colonel Jeannette "Angel" Devereaux, as she is considered a respected warrior by the Kilrathi. On the planet Vespus, Blair and Brigadier General James "Paladin" Taggart inspect the crashed wreckage of the TCS Concordia. The aircraft carrier is a total loss. The year is 2669 and the Terran-Kilrathi War has been going on for over thirty years now with no sign of stopping. Blair is transferred to the TCS Victory, a Ranger-class aircraft carrier twice Blair's age, as Wing Commander on orders from Admiral Geoffrey Tolwyn. Her captain, William Eisen, has been with her for many years and is proud of his ship. There are a few old faces - Colonel Ralgha nar "Hobbes" Hhallas and Major Todd "Maniac" Marshall - but all the other pilots and staff are people Blair has never met. On board, Blair gets to know Lieutenant Robin "Flint" Peters and senior combat engineer Rachel Coriolis, among others. Cast: Mark Hamill as Col. Christopher "Maverick" Blair Malcolm McDowell as Admiral Tolwyn John Rhys-Davies as Thrakhath nar Kiranka (voice) and James "Paladin" Taggart Jason Bernard as Capt. William Eisen Tom Wilson as Maj. Todd "Maniac" Marshall Ginger Lynn Allen as Rachel Coriolis
