Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos

"Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos" is a real-time strategy game set in the high-fantasy world of Azeroth. Players control one of four factions—the Alliance of Humans, the Horde of Orcs, the Night Elves, or the Scourge of the Undead—each of which has unique units, buildings, and hero characters that gain experience and abilities in battle. The single-player campaign follows a continuous story across four faction-specific chapters. The multiplayer mode is supported via Battle.net with ranked matchmaking. The game includes a World Editor that allows players to create their own maps and scenarios—which has led to influential community creations such as the “Defense of the Ancients” mod.
