Story
In Tianeea, the fire village, everyone prepares to celebrate the arrival of the fairy and the appointment of an "alma". Every four years, alms are selected from around the world to travel to the Tree of Mana and rejuvenate the flow of mana power. A soul guardian is also chosen to ensure the safe journey of the alms. Val is one such guardian. On the day of the fairy's arrival, Val brings his childhood friend to the feast. As the sun sets below the skyline, all the spectators wait with bated breath, hoping to be chosen as alms recipients. Finally, the fairy descends before Val's friend and appoints her the Alm of Fire. The villagers bid farewell to the pair and pray for their success as they embark on the adventure of a lifetime.
