Until I Have You

Until I Have You

Until I Have You is a 2D side-scrolling action-platform video game with 12 chapters, each with 4 stages and a unique boss, that take place in a different environment. The objective of each stage is to reach the end of the stage as quickly as possible without falling, getting killed or losing your sanity meter. The centerpiece of Until I Have You is the exoskeleton suit. The suit gives the player special abilities at the expense of his sanity. The exoskeleton has the ability to slow down time, similar to Max Payne, and turn back time. However, if you use these abilities too often, your sanity bar will drop and you'll lose touch with reality. When the sanity bar is empty, your character starts hallucinating, which changes the game mechanics and level design. In each stage, the player navigates from left to right through platform sections, death traps and enemies. The goal is to do this as quickly as possible while dying as little as possible. The fast pace of the game can make it difficult to plan a perfect course of action. To compensate for this, the game allows the player to restart each stage as soon as he/she dies, so that he/she can quickly fine-tune his/her approach over several attempts. At the end of each chapter, the player must also defeat a unique boss. Along the way, the player acquires a number of weapons and upgrades that you can go through, all of which have a specific purpose. The game evaluates the player's performance at the end of each stage based on a number of factors, giving a percentage out of 100. You'll be judged on how you die, whether you kill an enemy and what you killed him with, among other things.

Story

Until I Have You is a story-based, fast-paced, retro-style platformer set in a cyberpunk setting. The game tells an exciting story about regret, love and corruption in a city that has gone off the rails and doesn't care about any of it. This is the story of Artist, a talented hitman who has done many dirty jobs in his long and successful career. When he finally listens to his wife's pleas, he decides it's time to give up this ugly business and live a simple and peaceful life. However, the artist's customers know that he is irreplaceable and will not allow the craftsman to hang up his tool belt. They send him this message by kidnapping his wife Emily and making him realize that retirement is not an option! The ARTIST is determined to get his wife back and prepares for one last job. He realizes that he must give it his all to succeed, and he procures a rare exoskeleton suit. While this gives him additional powers, it can also cause hallucinations and impair his judgment. If you could save someone, how much of yourself would you be willing to sacrifice?
