Twisted Metal: Black

Twisted Metal: Black

Twisted Metal: Black is a vehicle combat video game developed by Incognito Entertainment (formerly Incog Inc.) and designed by Sony Computer Entertainment America for the PlayStation 2 video game console. It is the fifth installment in the Twisted Metal series and was released on June 18, 2001. An online multiplayer variant, Twisted Metal: Black Online, was later released as a free update.

Story

Black is on a mission from another person to track down and murder Calypso. However, the person who sent him has never been seen, and it is not revealed why exactly he is carrying out this mission. After the original Twisted Metal from 1995, the entire storyline in TM:B is darker and is called an "alternate universe" compared to the other Twisted Metal games. As I said, this is because everything takes place inside Needles Kane's head. But there is more to TM:B. Black, the driver of Manslaughter, made an appearance in TM(1995), the "lost" ending of Darkside's driver Mr. Ash. In this ending, he wants his demon "Black" back, giving the impression that Mr. Ash is Satan. When he gets Black back, Calypso gets very angry. This is because in the "Black" universe, Black is sent on a mission to kill a darker, more evil Calypso.
