Touhou Yumejikuu: Phantasmagoria of Dim. Dream
This game is a vertical danmaku shooting game that pits two characters against each other in separate play areas (also known as split-screen). When certain conditions are met, players can unleash a series of character-specific spell attacks on their opponents in an attempt to reduce their remaining health points. In Story Mode, players face off against nine opponents, each of which is more powerful than the previous one. Phantasmagoria of Dim.Dream also offers a game mode in which the player can compete against AI opponents or other players, as well as AI versus AI matches.
Story
During a quiet morning walk, local shrine maiden Reimu Hakurei comes across strange ruins not far from the gate of the Hakurei shrine. Since only one person is allowed to enter the ruins - and is well rewarded for doing so - seven characters engage in a great battle. When the winner enters the ruins, he encounters Chiyuri Kitashirakawa and Yumemi Okazaki, residents of the outside world who have come to Gensokyo with their probability space hypervessel. Their motives are anything but acceptable to the heroine.
