Touhou Genso Rondo: Bullet Ballet is reminiscent of a fighting game and combines the traditional shoot-'em-up genre with a 1v1 combat scenario, making for a unique gaming experience. In the story mode you'll learn more about the Touhou characters, while you advance in the game and shoot your opponent with a barrage of beautiful bullets.
Story
Somewhere in Japan, the Great Hakurei Barrier separates Gensokyo from the rest of the world. Although it has no ocean, it contains an underground world called Hell and a world in the sky above called Heaven. It is said that things that have been forgotten by the outside world, as well as creatures that have become extinct, find their way to Gensokyo. In this world, with its lush nature that has not been polluted by industrialization, humans and Yokais live together... though not peacefully, and disputes break out again and again. The Yokais keep causing incidents that throw the whole of Gensokyo into turmoil. To solve these problems, they have introduced the "Magic Card Rules", also known as "Playing Danmaku". which allow humans and Yokais to fight fairly against each other. Because of these rules, the Yokais cause trouble more often and the humans have to solve these problems on a daily basis. This is just another day in Gensokyo, where Touhou Genso Rondo: Bullet Ballet is playing... So let's fight our way through the hectic and funny events that make up a normal life in Gensokyo!
