In Total War: Shogun 2, you choose one of 9 (10 with Ikko-Ikki dlc) clans, each with its own unique characteristics and abilities, and each with its own RPG-style warlord to lead it. Use a mix of diplomacy, political maneuvering, province building, research and special agents like ninja assassins or geisha spies to get your enemies exactly where you want them. An intuitive interface and a lovingly designed, complex and detailed campaign map make it easy and fun to build and manage cities, recruit and move troops, and issue orders - both noble and dishonorable, all with the goal of dominating the enemy forces and conquering their lands.
Story
In the darkest age of Japan, the endless war leaves a divided country. It is the middle of the 16th century in feudal Japan. It is the middle of the 16th century in feudal Japan. The country, once ruled by a unified government, is now divided into many warring clans. Ten legendary warlords fight for supremacy as conspiracies and conflicts weaken the empire. Only one will rise above them all to win the heart of the nation as the new Shogun.... The others will die by his sword.
