Tomb Raider II
Tomb Raider II is the second game in the Tomb Raider game series. It is an action game with platform and puzzle elements, and is similar to its predecessor in concept and gameplay. The main part of the game consists in traversing dangerous 3D levels, using Lara's athletic abilities and solving environmental puzzles. In the sequel, more emphasis is placed on fighting enemies, with the addition of many human opponents. Additional weapons include a harpoon gun, a grenade launcher and an M16 rifle. Automatic pistols replace the Magnums from the first game.
Story
The story starts a year after the events of Tomb Raider Unfinished Business. Lara Croft returns to uncover the secret of the Dagger of Xian, a legendary weapon used by Chinese emperors to command their armies. It is said that if a man pierces his own heart with this dagger, he can transform into a dragon. When one of the emperors used it for this purpose, Tibetan monks managed to pull the dagger out of his heart and return it to its resting place on the Great Wall. While investigating the legend, archaeologist Lara Croft finds out that a powerful Venetian crime lord is after the dagger and must do everything in her power to prevent him from getting it.
