Tokyo Babel
The gates of heaven are closed, the realm of hell swallowed up by the flood. And in its wake, countless parallel worlds wither, one after the other. The surviving angels and demons gather in the city they believe is their last chance for salvation: the floating purgatory "Tokyo Babel". Together with the humans, they embark on a pilgrimage through the seven levels of Babel, hoping to climb Jacob's ladder and thus reopen the gates of heaven. Their journey would be a reconciliation with heaven. But their plans are thwarted when a group of pilgrims, consumed by madness, seek to dominate the numerous levels of Tokyo-Babel in order to wreak utter havoc on the floating purgatory. In the midst of this never-ending impasse, a lonely youth is rescued from the ruins of his destroyed world - Tendou Setsuna, a man who has been denied human treatment since birth. Together with his rescuer Lilith - known as the Witch of the Night - he begins his journey through Tokyo-Babel... ... and longs for an answer to a single question: why he still has the will to go on living.
