Threads of Fate
Threads of Fate is an action-platform video game developed and published by Square for the PlayStation console in 1999. It revolves around two characters, Rue and Mint, and their search for a mystical object known only as "the relic" that has the power to fundamentally change their lives. Two incredible adventures! Rue is on a quest to revive a lost friend. Mint is on a quest for power and revenge. Both are in search of a powerful relic, but who will be brave and clever enough to achieve their goal? Explore a beautifully rendered 3D world with challenging puzzles, unusual enemies and unknown dangers. Play as both characters and experience two completely different storylines. Rue has the ability to transform into the form of defeated enemies. Mint can learn and use a variety of spells.
Story
Valen created the relic to change the universe in his image, but he was destroyed in the process. The relic was then sealed so that no one could use this power for their own selfish ambitions. The Eastern Celestial Kingdom was entrusted with protecting this dangerous relic from anyone who wanted to use it. Mint and Rue both seek out the relic to use it for different reasons. Mint wants to use the Dewprism to seize world domination, while Rue wants to use its powers to revive Claire. Another person seeking the relic's power is the Puppet Master, who wants to resurrect his master Valen so that he can complete his mission.
