The Lord of the Rings Online

Lord of the Rings Online is the first MMORPG set in J.R.R. Tolkien's wondrous world of Middle-earth. LOTRO places you in the timeline of the events in The Lord of the Rings and sends you on a path that parallels the Fellowship of the Ring. You'll help them on their journey to Mordor by completing tasks and adventurous deeds around their path through Middle-earth.

Story

The Epic Story is an ongoing series of adventures or quests that are packed with intrigue and action. These adventures begin the moment you start playing the game. They feature characters such as Bilbo Baggins, Gandalf the Grey, and Strider, the Ranger of the North; during important events in the Epic Tale, you'll take on the role of your hero in session play and temporarily take control of a legendary character. But no matter how you tell the story, you'll always get rewards for your evolving hero.
