The game has many features not found in the series. It requires at least two people to play and uses randomly generated dungeons. When enough rupees have been collected, the Great Fairy gives players a key to unlock a new level. At the end of each level, the winner is the one who has collected the most rupees.
Story
A long time ago, there was a hero in Hyrule who used a legendary sword called the Four Sword to defeat the sorcerer Vaati and imprison him in the sword. After the battle, the people built a shrine to protect it. A few years later, Princess Zelda realized that Vaati might have escaped from the blade of the Four Sword and asked Link to come to the Four Sword Shrine to check. When they got there, Vaati captured Zelda and took her away. Some little fairies later told Link that Princess Zelda was in Vaati's palace up in the sky. In an attempt to get Zelda back, Link drew the Four Sword and it created three more Links! The Links then began their adventure to rescue Zelda.
