The Legend of Sword and Fairy 7
The Legend of Sword and Fairy 7 is an action role-playing game developed by Softstar Technology (Beijing). The story revolves around a conflict involving the three races of humans, gods and demons. The combat system has been greatly changed compared to the previous games in the series. Instead of a traditional turn-based system, real-time third-person combat is used.
Story
Xiu Wu, a divine warrior tasked with hunting down the fugitive leader of the celestial rebel group Celestial Demons, infiltrates the Demon Realm but is discovered and attacked by Garuda soldiers. Xiu Wu fends off one wave of pursuers after another and comes to the conclusion that the mission has failed. He decides to retreat, but no longer has enough spiritual energy to activate his magical Chunzi sword and open a portal back to the realm of the gods. After managing to escape to the Yanbo Spring, one of the Nine Springs of Shennong and an area forbidden to the demon tribes, he is intercepted by the demon lord Chonglou, who wounds him badly and pushes him off a cliff into the magma below. However, Chonglou decides not to actually kill Xiu Wu and uses the dropped Chunzi sword to open a portal through which he can fall into the human realm.
