Story
The King of Fighters XIV takes place four years after the events of The King of Fighters XIII from 2010. A Russian billionaire named Antonov buys the rights to the King of Fighters competitions to organize a new tournament pitting veterans and newcomers against each other. After the competition, the chosen one competes against Antonov. In the aftermath, the winning team must face a strange, menacing creature called Verse. This anomaly attracts characters from other dimensions, timelines and universes. After Verse is defeated, some characters go on missions to encounter people who have been revived by this mysterious enemy.
