The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, the fourth game in the Elder Scrolls storyline, is set in the province of Cyrodiil, the heartland and imperial capital of Tamriel. Emperor Uriel Septim VII is assassinated while fleeing from his own palace, but just before he dies, he hands you the mystical Amulet of Kings. The real adventure begins with the search for Uriel's lost and illegitimate son, who is the only heir to the throne. In a world where the forces of darkness strive for their final domination over the people and the Mer, you stand alone between the future of Tamriel and the gates of oblivion.

Story

After the mysterious and untimely death of the Emperor, desperate factions fight for control of the throne of Tamriel. As the empire threatens to crumble, the gates of Oblivion open and demons march across the land, laying waste to everything in their path. The player must find the missing heir to the throne and uncover the sinister conspiracy that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel in order to turn the tide.
