Tails' Skypatrol
While flying around in his plane, Tails spots a small island and lands to explore it. Although it initially appears uninhabited, he eventually encounters an old woman. She claims to be the great Witchcart and declares the island and everything on it to be her property. She threatens to turn anyone who opposes her into crystal. She then sets off with her henchmen, and Tails, determined to stop her, chases after them. It is one of two handheld games for the Game Gear in which Sonic's buddy Miles "Tails" Prower plays the leading role. The game tells the adventures of Tails as he tries to save an island from Witchcart, who claims to be able to turn dissenters into crystals with her magic. It was originally released on April 28, 1995, as an exclusive game for the Japanese market. Later, however, Tails' Skypatrol was also released overseas because it was included as an unlockable mini-game in Sonic Adventure DX: Director's Cut for the Nintendo GameCube and was re-released as one of the games in the Sonic Gems Collection.
