Sword of Vermilion
To take revenge on Tsarkon for his father's death, the prince must collect the eight rings of good that are hidden throughout the land. Hack out Tsarkon's henchmen and collect the hidden rings until you reach the last bastion where Tsarkon is waiting for you. Defeat Tsarkon and banish evil from the world.
Story
Sword of Vermilion is about the son of Erik, King of Excalabria, who embarks on a quest for revenge to defeat Tsarkon and rid the world of Vermilion of evil. King Erik V and King Tsarkon were close friends who sought the 16 Rings of Good and Evil to bring peace and balance to the realm. However, the Rings of Evil changed King Tsarkon and he led his army into Excalabria from Cartahena. The defenders were overwhelmed and King Erik V's castle collapsed. Erik V summoned his bravest, strongest and most loyal warrior, Blade, to entrust his young son with an ancient family heirloom, the Ring of Wisdom. King Erik ordered Blade to save himself and the child before he perished while the castle burned. The remaining Rings of Good were scattered throughout the realm by King Tsarkon to prevent anyone from uniting the rings. King Tsarkon turned the little prince's mother into living stone and vowed to use all the power of Cartahena to find the boy. Blade traveled to a small village called Wyclif, where he settled and raised the child as his own son. Eighteen years later, Erik's son begins his quest after learning his true destiny on Blade's deathbed. The quest consists of traveling through towns and villages, fighting creatures to gain experience and finding items such as swords, shields and armor, as well as many other items such as herbs and candles. The boss monsters are bigger and stronger creatures that are an important part of the story. The fight against the boss monsters takes place in a side view where no magic can be used.
