Super Scope 6

Super Scope 6

Super Scope 6, known as Nintendo Scope 6 in Europe and Australia, was the title Nintendo released for the Super NES along with Super Scope. As the name suggests, the cartridge contains six games that require the Super Scope.

Story

When the player turns on the SNES with the Super Scope 6 cartridge, a title screen appears with the words Super NES Super Scope 6 in red italic letters at the top of the screen. The bottom of the screen shows a diagram of the Super Scope and the names of its buttons. The player must shoot the screen to start the game. The next screen is the calibration routine, which is required for all Super Scope titles. A white target with a blue background is displayed on the screen. The player is instructed to shoot into the "bull's eye" of the target. This tells the SNES where the center of the screen is in relation to the Super Scope and its interface box. After calibration, the player is prompted to test the target to verify accuracy. It is not necessary to hit the target, but it is important that the shot mark matches where the player aimed and shot. If the player misses the target during calibration or moves the Super Scope or interface box afterwards, the shots fired in the game will no longer be accurate.
