Super Mario World
Super Mario World is a 2D platformer and the first entry in the Super Mario series on the SNES. Mario tries to defeat Bowser's subordinates and free Princess Peach from his clutches. The game features a save system, a less linear world map, an expanded arsenal of movements and numerous new items for Mario, as well as new approaches to level design and art design.
Story
Mario is on vacation in Dinosaur Land when he learns that Princess Peach Toadstool has been kidnapped by the evil King Koopa Bowser. When Mario goes in search of her, he finds a giant egg from which hatches a dinosaur named Yoshi. Yoshi tells Mario that his fellow dinosaurs are being held captive in eggs by Bowser's underlings. The intrepid plumber must travel to their castles, rescue the dinosaurs and finally confront King Koopa himself to force him to release the princess.
