Super Mario World

"Super Mario World" is a 2D platformer and the first game in the Super Mario series for the SNES. In this game, you join Mario as he attempts to defeat Bowser's minions and rescue Princess Peach from his clutches. The game features a save system, a less linear world map, an expanded repertoire of moves, and numerous new items for Mario, as well as new approaches to level design and graphics.

Story

Mario is on vacation in Dinosaur Land when he learns that Princess Peach Toadstool has been kidnapped by the evil King Koopa Bowser. When Mario goes in search of her, he finds a giant egg from which hatches a dinosaur named Yoshi. Yoshi tells Mario that his fellow dinosaurs are being held captive in eggs by Bowser's underlings. The intrepid plumber must travel to their castles, rescue the dinosaurs and finally confront King Koopa himself to force him to release the princess.
