Super Mario 3D Land
Super Mario 3D Land is the second 3D Super Mario platformer for a handheld device and the successor to Super Mario Galaxy 2. The game is closely based on the side-scrolling Mario games, combining elements from both the traditional 2D Mario games and the modern free-roaming 3D Mario games. It also introduces new elements to the series, such as power-ups and gameplay mechanics.
Story
In the Mushroom Kingdom there is a mysterious tree. It has a branch in the shape of a tail and is known as the Tail Tree. One night, a violent storm breaks over the Mushroom Kingdom. Worried about the Tail Tree, Princess Peach sets out to check on it, but when dawn comes, she has not yet returned. Accompanied by Toads, Mario rushes to the Tail Tree to find that its leaves have disappeared. All that remains is the bare tail tree and an envelope. In the envelope they find a photo of Princess Peach in Bowser's grip! The Toads are beside themselves. Bowser is up to his mischief again, so Mario rushes to save Princess Peach!
