Story

You've crash-landed on an alien ocean world, and the only way down is up. Subnautica's oceans range from sun-drenched, shallow coral reefs to treacherous deep-sea trenches, lava fields and bioluminescent underwater rivers. Take care of your oxygen supply as you explore kelp forests, plateaus, reefs and winding cave systems. The water is teeming with life: Some of it is beneficial, some of it is harmful. After crash landing in your escape pod, the clock is ticking to find water and food and develop the equipment you need to explore. Gather resources from the ocean around you. Build diving equipment, lamps, habitat modules and submersibles. Go deeper and further to find rarer resources that will allow you to create more advanced items.
