“In the past, Dr. Andross’s burning desire to rule the Lylat System plunged the galaxy into the chaos of war. From his fortress on the planet Venom, the mad monkey sent out one army after another, using unique forms of radiation to create terrifying monsters and fearsome soldiers. His ambition drove this army across the galaxy all the way to the planet Corneria. But it was there that a quartet of mercenaries known as Star Fox put an end to the threat, and the team’s leader, Fox McCloud, defeated Andross in single combat. In the years that followed, Venom was declared a forbidden planet and placed under the strict guard of the Cornerian forces. Everything was going well until, suddenly, a mysterious army emerged from the planet’s toxic seas. Led by a mysterious leader known as the Anglar Emperor, this new threat is sweeping through the Lylat System like a scythe through ripe wheat. The unexpected attack once again puts the peoples, cities, and culture of the Lylat System in grave danger. But much to the shock and dismay of the Lylat population, the members of Star Fox have gone their separate ways… leaving Fox McCloud as the only obstacle standing in the Anglar Army’s path. Despite all odds, Fox heroically throws himself into battle. But can he survive without the help of his former teammates?”
