SSX

SSX is the first in a series of snowboarding video games specializing in extreme sports titles with an unrealistic or arcade feel, including over-the-top jumps, highly decorated downhill runs and improbable tricks. Winning medals in a variety of events unlocks new courses, characters and boards and improves the boarder's skills. New outfits can be earned by completing a character's trick book by performing a certain number of tricks during the game. Three types of boards are available to players: trick-oriented freestyle boards, all-round BX boards and race-oriented Alpine boards, which cannot be ridden backwards. The courses are spread all over the world. The snowboarders also come from all over the world and speak in their main languages.
