Story
London, 1888. After a decade of war with the invaders from the moon we called the Selenites, the British Empire finally defeated the insectoid menace thanks to a dashing officer named Hugo Wells. He destroyed the colony's queen, cementing his status as the Empire's hero and the de facto patriarch of the drone-like Selenites. After the war, the Selenites became the new workforce of our Industrial Revolution, ushering in a new era of progress and prosperity. Freed from the shackles of labor, man could pursue more earthly pursuits. But unwillingness and disobedience spread among the middle and working classes. To satisfy the masses, Hugo Wells devised the ultimate entertainment. An elite sport where only the bravest, fastest, and most worthy warriors could wage small-scale war against the enslaved Selenite hordes. Welcome ... to Speed Brawl!
