Story

Roger Wilco's escape pod from the end of Space Quest II drifts in space until it is picked up by an automated garbage freighter. Finding an abandoned spaceship in the freighter's trash, Roger sets out to repair the Aluminum Mallard and abandon the freighter. Roger visits a number of places, including a fast food restaurant called Monolith Burger and a desert planet called Phleebhut. There he gets into trouble, because Arnoid the Destroyer (an Arnold Schwarzenegger-style android terminator) is hunting him down for not paying for a pipe in Space Quest II (a continuity error, because the order form for the pipe clearly stated that it was actually free). Through the information he picks up there and at Monolith Burger, Roger eventually gets on the trail of the sinister activities of a video game company called ScumSoft, run by the "Pirates of Pestulon." Pestulon, a small moon of the volcanic planet Ortega, is covered with soft, mossy vegetation and dotted everywhere with twisted, tree-like growths. Elmo Pug, the CEO of ScumSoft, has kidnapped the two boys from Andromeda and is forcing them to create terrible games. Roger manages to sneak into the supposedly impregnable ScumSoft building and rescue the two programmers. He is discovered and must fight Pug in a game that combines giant mecha-like battles with Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots. After winning, Roger and the two boys escape. At the end of the game, Roger delivers the two game developers to the president of Sierra On-Line, Ken Williams, on Earth.
