Soul Hackers 2
Soul Hackers 2 is set in the 21st century and is set during a war between the Yagaratsu and the Phantom Society, two opposing factions of devil summoners. The story follows two supernatural "Aion" beings named Ringo and Figue, who descend from their birthplace in the data stream of information to the human world to avert a catastrophic event that they believe will be the downfall of humanity.
Story
In the glow of neon lights, technological progress leads to people being taken over by commercial convenience. In the shadows, a war is brewing between the Yatagarasu and the Phantom Society, devil-summoners who harness the otherworldly powers of the "demons". In humanity's secret sea of data, a digital hivemind has evolved into a sentient being: Aion. Observing humanity from afar, Aion calculates that a world-destroying catastrophe is imminent and creates two agents to fight it: Ringo and Figue. Together, these agents of Aion must investigate and prevent a butterfly effect that will lead to the end of the world.
