Shamus

Shamus is a shooter with light action-adventure elements, written by Cathryn Mataga and published by Synapse Software. The original version for the Atari 8-bit computer was released on diskette and cassette in 1982. According to Ihor Volosenko, the co-founder of Synapse, Shamus made the company famous by earning it a reputation for quality. "Funeral March of a Marionette", the theme tune from Alfred Hitchcock Presents, is played on the title screen.
