Shadow Tower
Shadow Tower is an action role-playing game in the first-person perspective, developed by From Software and released in 1998. It has many similarities with the King's Field game series.
Story
The player controls the mercenary Ruus Hardy, who discovers during his visit to the city of Zeptar that it has been razed to the ground. The city's inhabitants have been killed and their souls claimed by evil spirits lurking beneath a nearby tower. Ruus sets off alone into the underground dungeon to kill the monsters and free the souls. This journey takes the player through six "worlds" modeled after nature, including Earth, Fire, Illusion and Death, and pits him against monsters and bosses.
