Rosenkreuzstilette
In Rosenkreuzstilette, the player takes control of Spiritia Rosenberg in traditional Mega Man fashion. He navigates through enemy and trap-rich stages, defeating the boss at the end of each stage (in the case of Rosenkreuzstilette, each of Spiritia's fellow mages in RKS) to copy its powers and use that power against a boss that might be weak against it.
Story
Having recently completed a six-month teaching assignment for the Holy Empire, Spiritia Rosenberg was eager to return home to her friends and rest. Unfortunately, her homecoming was not as warm as she had expected. When Spiritia returned to the Imperial Training Grounds, a monstrous dragon appeared and abducted her student Iris, the daughter of the distinguished Count Michael Zeppelin. Moments later, flames engulfed the training grounds and its surroundings, mercilessly consuming everything in their wake. Not wanting to waste any time, Spiritia and her fairy companion Lilli rushed into the burning forest and gave chase. As she made her way through the roaring flames, Spiritia was overjoyed to see that her best friend, the cool and collected Freudia Neuwahl, was already on the scene. However, her joy quickly turned to horror when she learned who the arsonists were: her own organization of mages, the Rosenkreuzstilette, and Freudia herself, who led the attack. Freudia informed Spiritia of the Unity's decision to rise up against the injustices of the Empire, inviting her to join her comrades as they declare war on humanity. Unwilling to tolerate the suffering of innocents, Spiritia declined - and vowed to save her comrades from a senseless and deadly mistake. Join Spiritia on her quest to stop the Rosenkreuzstilette, a group of renegade mages led by Count Zeppelin himself. A troop consisting exclusively of Spiritia's best friends...
