Romance of the Three Kingdoms

Romance of the Three Kingdoms

The player takes on the role of a general who must bring as many states as possible under his control and, if successful, unite China. Up to eight players can participate, but only one can win. There are five chronologically arranged scenarios. In the first, China is in its most disorganized phase, and in the last, virtually all of China is controlled by one of three generals. The exact requirements for success in each of these scenarios vary, but in all cases, the goal is to rule over as many states as possible. After completing any scenario except number five, the game automatically moves on to the next one. You can start the game in any scenario. Koei's "Romance of The Three Kingdoms" is based on a historical novel of the same name from the 14th century, which in turn is based on a more serious official history by Ch'en Shou (233–297 AD), who recorded important historical events in China from 220 to 265 AD. Your master strives to unify China. You must enlist the help of others, fight well, and negotiate wisely. Without capable and loyal subordinates, you will not be able to win the game. It will not be easy to select good people and win their loyalty, and all the capable and loyal subordinates in the world will not help you if you do not use your diplomatic and military resources well.
