Road Rash

Road Rash is an aggressive motorcycle racing game in which the player takes on the role of a biker taking part in a series of illegal races across the USA. The aim is to start from last place and overtake the other bikers on a linear course. This is achieved by riding very well or knocking your opponents off their bikes with clubs, crowbars or your bare hands. The other racers fight back in a similar way and there are also hazards. All races take place on the normal road with normal traffic (in both directions) and police as well as the occasional oil spill and stray cows. If you win races, you can move up to a higher class and earn money that you can use to buy a better bike. If you are thrown off your bike or hit something, you have to run back to your bike and lose valuable time and your bike is damaged. If the player crashes with police officers nearby, he may be caught and have to abandon the race. Like the entire Road Rash series, the game offers arcade-like gameplay and has no intention of being a motorcycle simulation. The game does have a two-player mode, but it is not simultaneous.
