Rez
A rail shooter with a strong emphasis on audiovisual elements, in which a hacker tries to penetrate an AI responsible for the continuation of the human race to prevent it from being shut down due to information overload.
Story
The world of Rez is set in the near future on a massively overpopulated Earth where society is on the verge of collapse due to high crime rates. In order to eliminate the chaos, a new global network has been created: Project-K, which is overseen by a self-aware artificial intelligence named Eden. However, the increasing flow of information and infection by a virus (the main character) confused Eden, so she began to question the meaning of her existence and the consequences of her actions. As she tried to fathom the paradoxes that surrounded her and became aware of the power she possessed, she shut herself down. The player character and protagonist is a hacker virus with the unofficial name of Swayzak, who traverses the Project-K network to reawaken Eden and reveal her true nature by penetrating deeper into the system and destroying the other viruses, antivirus programs, security programs, defense systems and firewalls in it.
