Record of Agarest War
Record of Agarest War is a tactical role-playing game in which you guide several generations of heroes through a cross-generational story. The game combines strategic turn-based combat with a unique system in which the protagonist's choice of romantic partner determines the abilities and characteristics of the next generation's main character. You'll journey through five different eras, build relationships, engage in turn-based combat, and shape your legacy across generations.
Story
It was the end of the age of the gods... An age that ended when the door to oblivion was opened. In the world of Agarest, there were five continents, each of them pierced by a great pillar that towered into the sky. These towering monuments were the gods themselves. The beginning of our story and the end of the Age of Myth takes place on the continent of Lucrellia, when a young man named Leonhardt sacrifices everything, even his future and his children, to protect an elven girl. On the brink of death, he commits himself to a contract...
