Puyo Puyo~n

This game was only released in Japan. It is the fourth game in the Puyo Puyo series and the last to be set in the Madou era of the main series. Continuing the trend of naming the games after puns, the name comes from a pun on "yon", the Japanese word for the number 4, but that's the only reference to the pun this time. The gameplay is similar to Puyo Puyo 2, but adds super attacks. Clearing chains builds up a "charge meter" that allows players to use them. The only other new feature is a new game mode that can be played with different board sizes, smaller or larger than the standard 6x12. However, this removes several game modes that existed in Puyo Puyo Sun, namely the tournament, task and chain training modes. The graphics also differ significantly from the previous games in the series and, of course, from the Fever series; this style was otherwise only used in Minna de Puyo Puyo.
