Pu Li Ru La

Pu-Li-Ru-La is a surreal arcade beat 'em up by Taito that was first released in 1991. Pu-Li-Ru-La is set in Radishland, a land where time is kept flowing with a time key. But "an evil man appeared and stole the time key to stop the flow of time. The cities were attacked one by one, the flow of time was stopped and they suffered damage," reads the English translation. Zac and Mel, the playable characters, are asked by an old man to defend their town. The old man also gives the children a "magic wand" with which they can fight.
