Prince of Persia

Prince of Persia is an action-adventure and platform video game developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It is part of the Prince of Persia series. The game is set in ancient Persia, with a player character whose name is not revealed in the game. He is accompanied by a woman named Elika, whom he met after a great sandstorm knocked him off course and he ended up in a mysterious land. Players traverse many different environments using their acrobatic skills to climb walls and even crawl on the ceiling. During the journey, players fight various enemies and try to rid the land of corruption.

Story

Prince of Persia is set in an undefined ancient Persian city-state that relies heavily on the religion of Zoroastrianism. A thousand years before the events of the game, there was a battle for power between the gods Ahriman and Ormazd. The result of this battle was that Ormazd and his people, the Ahura, imprisoned Ahriman and his minions, the Corrupted Ones, in a tree. Ormazd then left the world, leaving the Ahura to ensure that Ahriman remained safe. For a thousand years they were successful, but then the Ahura began to believe that Ahriman and Ormazd were myths due to their inaction, and most left the world. Just before the events of the game, Ahriman is about to be freed again
