Primal Rage
A meteor hit the earth and caused great chaos. Seven gods from ancient times awoke and now try to take control of the post-apocalyptic world. Primal Rage is a one-on-one fighting game with dinosaurs and giant apes as fighters. The graphics were created with digitized stop-motion animations. The gameplay is similar to Mortal Kombat, since it is played from the side perspective and offers deadly finishing moves at the end of the fight.
Story
A massive meteorite impact has devastated the Earth. Human civilization perishes in the ensuing cataclysms and mankind is reduced to tribes of Stone Age people. A primeval rainforest covers the land and the continental landmass has morphed into the shape of a fire-breathing dinosaur skull. The planet is now primitively referred to as "Urth" by the survivors of the disasters. Seven fearsome creatures awaken from their slumber deep within the crust of Urth and are worshipped as gods by the humans, who divide themselves into clans among their followers. The beasts themselves are divided between those who wish to keep the peace on Urth and those who seek to plunge the world into further chaos for their own gain.
